Panasonic Camera Accessories
Which camera is better?
The nikon D90 or the Panasonic Lumix G1?
Im a beginner and I started with an 8mp mobile then I got a 12mp digital camera so this would be my first (D)SLR camera.
Any recommendations?? And which one has the best handling, body, features, accessory’s ect ect?

Nikon D90. No competition. The G1 isn’t actually an SLR but we’ll let that go for now.
D90 has a bigger sensor. Bigger sensors (physical size) are always better.
D90 has more accessories (both new and second-hand) than you can shake a stick at.
D90 produced better quality images in every respect.
G1 lenses are apparently thin on the ground and using existing four-thirds lenses can mean manual focus only.
G1 sensor is exposed every time you decide to change lenses.
G1 is incredibly slow in continuous shooting – 3fps is quoted but you won’t get it in normal photography.
G1 Battery life poor.
The G1 is smaller and lighter than a DSLR, so if that is your primary consideration then you may still consider it. If, handling, quality, accessories etc are more important then you simply must go for the Nikon. Any Nikon. Any Canon. Any Sony. You get the drift…
